National Career Fair 2026 returns to NSU after six years

Day 1 of the National Career Fair 2026 featured a series of structured seminar sessions addressing key sectors and future workforce readiness.

After a six-year hiatus, the National Career Fair (NCF) 2026 has made a much-anticipated return at North South University (NSU), reaffirming its position as one of the country’s most comprehensive career engagement platforms. The event is being organized by the NSU Career and Placement Center (NSUCPC), with MGH Group serving as the title sponsor.

Broad industry participation
A wide range of organizations participated reflecting strong cross-sector representation. These included major corporate and financial institutions such as ACI PLC, City Bank, Eastern Bank PLC, IDLC Finance PLC, IPDC Finance, Meghna Bank PLC, Shimanto Bank PLC, and Commercial Bank PLC. Leading pharmaceutical and healthcare companies like Renata PLC, Beximco Pharma, Incepta Pharma, Apex Pharma, Roche Bangladesh Limited, and ACME were also present.

In addition, multinational brands, FMCG companies, startups, NGOs, and tech-driven organization including Marico Bangladesh Ltd., Bashundhara Group, BRAC, BRAC Aarong, iFarmer Limited, Augmedix, Pathao, bKash, Nagad, and ShareTrip actively engaged with participants. The fair also hosted numerous global education and study-abroad consultancies, expanding opportunities beyond the domestic job market.

Seminar Sessions on Day 1
The first seminar, titled “Industrial & Manufacturing Sector,” was held from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The session explored the current state and future outlook of Bangladesh’s industrial and manufacturing landscape, highlighting emerging opportunities, sectoral challenges, and potential career pathways for graduates interested in this vital segment of the economy.

This was followed by the seminar on “Career in Pharma & Healthcare,” which took place from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Industry insights were shared on career prospects within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, focusing on recruitment trends, employer expectations, and effective onboarding strategies for new entrants.

The final seminar of the day, “Future Workforce Skills & Tools,” ran from 4:10 PM to 5:30 PM. The session emphasized the importance of adaptability, digital skills, and industry-relevant competencies required to thrive in a rapidly changing job market. It aimed to prepare graduates for future industrial growth by aligning academic learning with practical workforce needs.
