ULAB hosts ‘Meet the Recruiters’ to strengthen industry-academia connections
The School of Business at University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), in collaboration with the Career Services Office (CSO), organised the “Meet the Recruiters” event on 24 June 2026 at the university campus.
The event brought together representatives from 11 organisations and students, creating a platform for career exploration, professional networking, and industry engagement. Recruiters interacted directly with students, collected CVs, and shared information on internship and employment opportunities, workplace expectations, and career development pathways.
The programme was inaugurated by Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee and Sarwar Uddin Ahmed. Senior university officials, faculty members, industry representatives, and students attended the event.
Speakers highlighted the importance of stronger collaboration between universities and industry in preparing graduates for the changing demands of the job market. Participating organisations encouraged students to develop industry-relevant skills and make use of opportunities for practical learning and professional development.
The event provided students with an opportunity to engage directly with employers, discuss career aspirations, learn about recruitment processes, and gain insights into workforce trends across different sectors.
Organisers said the initiative aimed to strengthen connections between academia and industry while supporting students in their transition from education to employment. Through programmes such as “Meet the Recruiters,” ULAB continues to create opportunities for students to connect with potential employers and better understand the expectations of the professional world.
