Requirements
Education: Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, English, or any other discipline of social science recent degree recipient (degree received November 2022 or later) or currently enrolled student.
Additional Requirements
- Citizen of Bangladesh
- Local Dhaka resident
- Proficient in English and Bangla.
- Knows basic photography and video editing.
- Can use photoshop/illustrator/Canva or any other design and editing software.
- Understands social media, its audience, and informed about its changing trends.
- Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow a career in the development sector. USAID Shobai Miley Shikhi reserves the right to request samples of previous work or conduct a skills assessment as part of the selection process.
Responsibilities & Context
RTI’s Internship Program emphasizes experiential and mentored learning experiences, providing students and recent degree recipients an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge and skills in a meaningful and practical way. We are committed to developing the future workforce by encouraging interns to explore various career paths in a nonprofit research institute setting that values diversity and inclusion. Through this program, interns will be exposed to RTI’s open and educational culture; support RTI’s mission to improve the human condition; and build upon their career goals.
Responsibilities
- Write success stories, develop social media content in English and Bangla for the Project and USAID Facebook page. Maintain a social media calendar to create and populate posts on national and international days related to children, education, disability, inclusion, and so on.
- Develop infographics, one-pagers, banners, greeting cards, social media cards, story cards, and so on.
- Develop photo slides, short video clips.
- Support team members in developing well-designed PPTs.
- Maintain the project’s photo archive.
- Support in vendor coordination, internal and external event management.
Additional Information: This hybrid internship will be supported by a stipend, and take place from June 2024 through November 2024. The internship requires a minimum commitment of 20-40 hours per week. Hours are flexible during business hours, Sunday through Thursday.
