
Compliance and Risk Management Officer | NGO Forum for Public Health
Responsibilities & Context
- Develop and implement organizational policies and regulations.
- Ensure all departments and projects are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Identify and evaluate risks and compliance issues within the organization.
- Conduct regular review and inspections to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
- Prepare reports detailing the risk areas and providing risk mitigation recommendations.
- Provide training to employees about the latest risk management and compliance protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory norms and laws that apply to the organization.
- Work with other departments to create a culture of compliance within the organization.
Requirements
Education: Master’s in Law / Business Administration / Public Administration / Management / International Relations or relevant disciplines.
Experience
- At least 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency
Additional Requirements
- Age at most 40 years
- At least 5 years proven experience as a Risk and Compliance Officer or similar role.
- Experience in risk management, audit, or compliance departments.
- On-the-job experience in roles such as Compliance Analyst, Risk Analyst, or other related roles.
- Experience in developing risk and compliance management procedures and regulatory.
- Analytical skills to identify, assess and mitigate potential risks to the organization.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory and compliance laws and regulations related to the specific sector.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex regulatory and compliance issues to non-technical colleagues and to liaise with regulators and external bodies.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation of compliance activities and report any irregularities.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and promote a positive culture of compliance.
- Problem-solving skills to find pragmatic solutions to compliance issues that meet both regulatory requirements and organizational needs.
- Proficiency in using risk management software and other related IT systems to monitor compliance and detect potential risks.
