Department Coordination Officer | BRAC University
Responsibilities & Context

Key Responsibilities
- Act as an effective link between the departments, students, faculty, Registrar’s office and other relevant offices
- Maintain and supervise all architecture studios, labs, classrooms and required office equipment during his/her daily office hour, and should handover the responsibility to ADCO/ Office Assistant/ Security after office hour while leaving station
- Act as a link between chairperson and the faculty members of the department, and keep both sides informed about the developments on academic and research activities
- Keep the faculty members/staff informed about the rules/policies of BRACU and the department
- Coordinate department and school events, lectures, seminars, exhibitions, workshops, study tours, etc.
- Ensure positive and respectful relationship with students
- Maintain e-mail correspondence with all stakeholders on regular basis
- Workout the requirements of the stationary items of the department, submit requisition, draw items from the administrative officer and issue them to all concerned on a regular (monthly/weekly) basis and respond to special equipment needs in a similar manner
- Ensure that a healthy academic environment exists at all times in the department
Requirements
Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration/Social Sciences/Computer Science and Engineering or in relevant areas from reputed public or private universities with excellent academic credentials
Experience: At least 5 years in University sector.
Additional Requirements
- 5 years of experience in a similar position will be given preference
- Strong interpersonal skills and is adept at building relationships with different stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills both in Bangla and English
- Proficiency in MS Office and the use of Internet
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group of colleague
- Experience of using initiative and creativity to resolve problems, identifying suitable solutions and opportunities for improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and service areas
