Executive-Fuel Procurement

Role Overview
The Executive – Fuel Procurement will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fuel procurement activities to ensure the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of fuel for our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of fuel markets, supplier relationships, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage procurement strategies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fuel procurement strategies to meet the company’s operational needs while optimizing costs and ensuring supply reliability.
  • Identify and evaluate potential fuel suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements.
  • Monitor fuel market trends, analyze price fluctuations, and adjust procurement strategies accordingly to mitigate risks and capitalize on cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and logistics teams, to forecast fuel demand, coordinate procurement activities, and ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of fuel suppliers, assess contract compliance, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain quality standards and service levels.
  • Stay updated on regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and industry best practices related to fuel procurement, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and sustainability initiatives.
  • Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to track key performance indicators, monitor procurement performance, and identify areas for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Prepare and present periodic reports, budget forecasts, and analysis of fuel procurement activities to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor’s degree from IBA-DU
  • HSC & SSC: 5, A ‘Level & O ‘Level preferred.
  • IBA, Dhaka University students will get preference

Additional Requirements

  • Age 25 to 30 years
  • Freshers, willing to undergo training abroad, are encouraged to apply
  • Proven experience in fuel procurement would be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of fuel markets, pricing mechanisms, and supply chain dynamics would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Effective communication skills to present complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Office, ERP systems).
