International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b), an international health research institute committed to addressing public health challenges through quality research and innovation, invites applications from qualified candidates for clinical positions at Dhaka Hospital, Mohakhali.

POSITION DETAILS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reporting Authority: Head, Hospital
• Core Responsibilities:
  • Support Clinical Fellows in their learning process and monitor or mentor them throughout their education program.
  • Conduct clinical rounds alongside senior doctors and assist in grand rounds to deliver patient care.
  • Execute tailored treatment plans, physical examinations, and medication orders under senior physician supervision.
  • Maintain real-time medical documentation, diagnostic orders, and progress notes in the SHEBA system.
  • Respond actively as a member of the hospital Code Blue team during critical emergencies and join rotational duty for round-the-clock coverage.
  • Report Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) and adverse drug reactions immediately per hospital policy.
  • Coordinate with internal laboratories, clinical research teams, and Principal Investigators (PIs) for study implementation and data reporting.
  • Assess eligibility, obtain informed consent, and record patient history in accordance with study protocols.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

CONTRACT, SALARY AND BENEFITS

• Location: Dhaka Hospital, Mohakhali, Dhaka.
• Contract Type: Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 11 months (extendable based on funding and performance).
• Consolidated Remuneration: Tk96,120/- per month (inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances).
• Additional Benefits: Festival bonus, income tax paid by icddr,b, subsidized canteen, and access to transport or daycare facilities (subject to space availability).
