Key Responsibilities Are Listed Below
- Coordinate and monitor the effective implementation of field-level activities, particularly cash for work and livelihood activities so that daily operational issues are timely resolved to prevent any potential risk or delays.
- Provide implementation support to WFP’s Cooperating Partner and government-relevant departments during emergency response.
- Within the specific area of responsibility, compile data and support analysis and preparation of reports (e.g. food assistance needs, resource utilisation, programme status, performance) in order to support operational decision-making.
- Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP is able to respond quickly.
- Support coordination and communication with local partners, stand-by partners for emergencies, NGOs and government institutions to perform accurate food security analyses and to ensure efficient delivery of food assistance.
- Assist the Team Lead in planning and providing capacity-strengthening support to Cooperating Partner NGOs and Government officials.
- Maintain records on programme activities and make information available for reporting and other related purposes.
- Provide necessary inputs for finalisation of reports (monthly/quarterly/ annual/final report, etc.) and project proposals etc.
- Perform other duties, as required.
Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience of relevant professional work experience in relevant field.
Education: University degree in Sociology, Social Development, Development Economics or Performance Management, monitoring and evaluation or other relevant field.
Language: Fluency in both written and oral communication in English and Bangla.
Technical Skills: Skills in the use of Computers; MS Office such as Word, Excel. Working knowledge in spreadsheets and other software packages.
