Supply Chain Officer (Retail Operations) | United Nations World Food Programme (WFP)

Responsibilities & Context
The Supply Chain Officer (Retail Operations) will ensure that WFP-contracted retailers comply with retail SOPs to standardize and enhance the overall shopping experience. The Officer will conduct research and analyze workflow processes to improve business procedures. Key responsibilities include performing statistical analysis, assessing the market environment, supervising Retail Operations Assistants, and monitoring the performance of retail partners. Additionally, the Coordinator will support the digitization of retail operations where needed and ensure alignment with Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) standards and practices to maintain high-quality retail operations.

Type of contract: Service Contract
Duration: 12 months

Requirements

Education: Completion of University Degree (Bachelors) in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Logistics or any relevant subject.

Experience

  • At least 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Development Agency

Additional Requirements

  • At least 5 years of solid & responsible work experience including 3 years of professional work experience in supporting supply chain strategy and implementation, end-to-end supply chain operations, supply chain information systems or any related experience.
  • Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language.
