The Master of Social Science (MSS) in Development Studies is a research-oriented, one-year programme from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Dhaka, consisting of 40 credits. The programme includes a DBF-based curriculum and offers specialisation in a range of areas including Development Economics, Public Policy, Natural Resource Management, and Social Development.

Eligibility and Admission Process

• Eligibility: Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.25 out of 4 and be from one of the last three consecutive academic sessions.
• Application: Forms can be collected from the Department of Development Studies.
• Admission Test: A qualifying examination will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 am. The test consists of an 80-mark written exam and a 20-mark viva voce.
• Application Deadline: The last date to collect forms is November 6, 2025.
