HSC admission application deadline today
HSC admission application deadline today

The first phase of online applications for admission to Class XI in the 2025–26 academic session closes today (15 August) at 8pm.
As per the earlier schedule, the results for first-phase applicants will be published on 20 August. Students who are not selected in this phase will have the opportunity to apply again in the second and third phases. After verification, the admission process will take place from 7–14 September, with classes for Class XI beginning on 15 September.
The Ministry of Education published the admission policy on 24 July. Like previous years, there will be no admission tests for higher secondary admission—except for a few institutions such as Notre Dame College in Dhaka, which conduct exams as per court orders. Admission will be based on SSC and equivalent results.
How to apply online
Applications must be submitted through the designated website; manual applications will not be accepted. The application fee is Tk220, allowing students to choose a minimum of five and a maximum of 10 colleges. Selection will be based on merit, quota, and preference, and each applicant will be placed in only one college.
Special provisions exist for students with disabilities, expatriate children, and BKSP students, who may apply manually through their respective boards.
Group selection rules
SSC science group graduates may choose science, humanities, or business studies at the higher secondary level. Humanities and business studies graduates may choose between these two groups. Science group Dakhil graduates can choose any of the three groups, while general group Dakhil graduates may choose humanities or business studies.
Application timeline
Originally, the first phase application deadline was 11 August but has been extended to 15 August. First-phase results will be published at 8pm on 20 August. The second and third phases will follow before final admission, with classes starting 15 September.
Admission fees
For MPO-listed institutions, the maximum session charge and admission fees are Tk5,000 in Dhaka city, Tk3,000 in other metropolitan areas, Tk2,000 at district level, and Tk1,500 in upazila or suburban areas. For non-MPO or partially MPO institutions, the fees vary by location and medium—ranging from Tk2,500 to Tk8,500 as per policy.
Quota allocation
According to the policy, 93% of seats in each institution are open for all, allocated by merit. The remaining 7% is reserved—1% for children of Education Ministry officials and employees, 1% for children of officials of subordinate offices/agencies in metropolitan, divisional, and district headquarters (subject to minimum qualifications), and 5% for children of freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters. If no eligible candidates are available, seats must be filled from the merit list.
