The Executive Development Centre (EDC) at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development (BIGD), BRAC University, is offering a Postgraduate Diploma in Knitwear Industry Management (PGD-KIM).
This initiative is supported by the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (SICIP) of the Finance Division under the Ministry of Finance. The programme is designed for both industry professionals and fresh graduates aiming to build a career in the knitwear sector.
Programme Features

Programme Schedule
- Duration: 9 months, including a 3-month industry attachment.
- Class Schedule: Fridays (3:30 PM–10:00 PM), Sundays, and Wednesdays (6:30 PM–9:30 PM).
Application Qualifications
- Professionals: Minimum 3 years of work experience in knitwear or related sectors with a bachelor’s degree (minimum CGPA 2.5).
- Fresh Graduates: A bachelor’s degree, preferably in technical or business disciplines, with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or a second class at all academic levels.
- Encouragement: Women and individuals from ethnic minority communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
Selection Procedure
Candidates must sit for a written examination. Final selection is determined by written test scores, previous work experience, and a viva-voce.

Ineligibility Criteria
- Candidates already enrolled in an EDC programme.
- Candidates who received SEIP training of two or more weeks and have not yet completed one year since that training.
- Candidates who received a third division or third class in any academic results.
