Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) offers a variety of prestigious scholarships for international students, celebrating academic excellence and leadership. The FDU International Scholarship and the esteemed Col. Fairleigh S. Dickinson Scholarship provide significant financial support, while the Global Scholars Program offers both funding and immersive cultural experiences. These scholarships make FDU more accessible and foster a diverse community of global leaders. Most applicants are automatically considered upon admission, with some requiring a separate application to highlight their unique achievements.
General Information
- Eligibility: All scholarships require a complete FDU application for admission.
- Award Timing: Scholarships are awarded at the time of admission.
- Award Value: Scholarship amounts are fixed and do not increase throughout your studies.
- Semester Coverage: Scholarships are valid for the fall and spring semesters only (not summer).
- Renewal: Scholarships are renewable each year, contingent upon maintaining good academic standing and full-time enrollment.
- Guarantees: Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee receiving a scholarship.
- Restrictions: Specific scholarships may have additional eligibility criteria or restrictions.
Types of Scholarships (Undergraduate Students)
FDU International Scholarship (Merit-Based)
Award: Up to $24,000 per year (renewable for up to four years)
Minimum Requirements: Awarded based on academic excellence. No SAT/ACT scores required.
Global Housing Grant (Merit-Based, Financial Need, Extracurriculars)
Award: $3,000 per year (renewable for up to two years)
Minimum Requirements: Must live on and attend the Metropolitan campus. Awarded based on academic merit, financial need, and demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities.
Note: Can be combined with merit scholarships.
FDU Family Grant (Family-Based)
Award: $1,500 per person, per year (renewable for up to four years)
Minimum Requirements: Awarded to families with two or more dependent children attending FDU concurrently.
Note: Can be combined with merit scholarships. Not applicable to students enrolled in Wroxton College or special sessions.
Children of Alumni Grant (Family-Based)
Award: $1,500 per year (renewable for up to four years)
Minimum Requirements: Awarded to dependent children of FDU alumni.
Note: Can be combined with merit scholarships.
Athletic Scholarships (Athletic Ability)
Award: Varies (up to full tuition and housing)
Minimum Requirements: Awarded to students with exceptional athletic ability participating in NCAA Division I sports. Only available at the Metropolitan Campus. Subject to NCAA rules and regulations (for more information, visit FDU Athletics).
