16 year old Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman earns three Guinness World Records
Sixteen-year-old Arsenal forward Max Dowman has received three official Guinness World Records certificates following his record-breaking start to his senior career.
According to L’Équipe, Dowman, born on 31 December 2009, is the youngest player to appear in the Premier League, the youngest player to make a Champions League debut and the youngest goalscorer in England’s top flight.
He set the goalscoring record on 14 March against Everton, aged 16 years and 73 days. Coming on in the 74th minute, Dowman scored the decisive goal in a closely contested match.
The England international had already attracted attention at youth tournaments in France and in the Uefa Youth League, where his pace, strength and maturity stood out.
His three Guinness World Records recognise a rapid rise that has seen Dowman set new age records in both domestic and European competition.
