The 9th season of the Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWPBD) has been launched on 30th November 2022. Interested participants can submit their project proposal anytime starting from 30 November 2022 to 20 March 2023.
House of Volunteers Foundation Bangladesh (HoV), nominated by Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) as the national organizer of SJWP for Bangladesh, is organizing the Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize 2023. WaterAid Bangladesh has joined as a co-organizer.
Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize is a national water science competition where students from different schools and colleges from all over Bangladesh present and share their innovative ideas and projects for the purpose of solving water-related problems. The champion team of Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize participates as the representative of Bangladesh in the international Stockholm Junior Water Prize which takes place in Sweden every year during World Water Week.
The project proposal submission for the Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize (SJWPBD) 2023 has been launched from 30th November 2022. Any students from class 9 to 12 or equivalent can participate in this competition. Any participating team can consist of a maximum of two students and a minimum of one student.
There will be a sequential number of mentoring sessions taken by experienced mentors for grooming up the aspiring participants and providing guidelines for innovative ideas and project submission. Each year, thousands of participants from over 30 countries all around the world join this national competition with the hope of earning the chance to represent their nation on the international stage. The winner of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize receives a USD 15,000 award, a blue crystal prize sculpture, and a diploma as well as a stay in Stockholm. H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden is the Patron of the Stockholm Junior Water Prize.
