Tawhidur Rahman Taku, a 46-year-old from Naogaon, has proven that age is no barrier to education by sitting for the “B” unit admission test at Jagannath University (JnU) under the Faculty of Arts and Law.
Despite a long academic break due to illness, Taku resumed his studies in 2019 and completed his Alim exam in 2024. His presence in the exam hall surprised many young candidates.
“If I don’t get in this year, I will try again. Education has no age limit,” he told The Daily Star.
JnU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Rezaul Karim confirmed that Taku’s participation followed all university rules.
