Bangla Academy has officially announced the schedule for the upcoming Amar Ekushey Boi Mela 2027, following an opinion-exchange meeting with publishers’ representatives. The month-long national book fair will commence on 7 January 2027, and conclude on 6 February 2027

The decision was taken unanimously during a meeting held on 13 October (Tuesday) at the Shahid Munier Chowdhury Seminar Room inside the Bangla Academy premises. The session was chaired by the Minister for Cultural Affairs, Nitai Roy Chowdhury, MP.

The meeting was also attended by Dr Zahed Ur Rahman, Adviser to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, and Yasmin Begum, Secretary of the Ministry.

According to a press release signed by Mohammad Azam, Director General of Bangla Academy, the finalised schedule reflects the consensus reached between government authorities and publishing industry representatives to ensure the smooth organisation and management of the prestigious annual cultural event.
