BKSP wins BRAC Bank women’s development cup hockey 2025

Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP) has emerged as the champion of the BRAC Bank Women’s Development Cup Hockey 2025. In the final, BKSP defeated Kishoreganj with a score of 8-0 at the Maulana Bhashani Hockey Stadium on 22 March 2025.

The tournament, styled BRAC Bank Women’s Development Cup Hockey 2025, was organised by the Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) under the patronage of BRAC Bank to promote women’s hockey in the country.

In the final, Kishoreganj forward Fardia Akter Ratri was adjudged the best player of the tournament. BKSP’s Arpita, who is also the captain of the Bangladesh women’s hockey team, claimed the top-scorer title with 30 goals.

Bangladesh Hockey Federation’s president, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, and BRAC Bank chairperson, Meheriar M Hasan, distributed prizes among the teams. BHF general secretary, Lt Col (Retd.) Riazul Hasan, was also present at the event.

Ten district-level teams, along with BKSP, participated in the tournament, which ran from 11 to 22 March 2025 and featured 28 matches. The participating teams included Dinajpur, Jashore, Chattogram, Patuakhali, Rajshahi, Jhenaidah, Thakurgaon, Rangpur, Cumilla, and Kishoreganj, alongside BKSP. The teams were divided into two groups, and matches were held at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium and the Bangladesh Air Force field in Kurmitola
