Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan wants to step down from his post and formally announced his decision at a “special” press briefing scheduled for 3:00 pm today, Tuesday (10 February).

The briefing is held at the Prof. Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom beside the vice-chancellor’s office, according to a notice issued earlier in the day by DU Public Relations Director Mohammad Rafiqul Islam.

An official at the registrar’s office said the media call was made on short notice and confirmed that the vice-chancellor will personally address journalists.
