The MBBS admission test for the 2024-25 academic session in the country’s public and private medical colleges is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Friday (17 January). The one-hour examination will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM across multiple venues in 19 centres nationwide.
The Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME) has issued several instructions for candidates, emphasising punctuality and adherence to regulations.
Key Instructions for Candidates
- Entry Timing:
Examination centre gates will open at 8:00 AM. Candidates must arrive and complete entry procedures by 9:30 AM. No one will be allowed to enter the venue after this time. Candidates must bring a colour-printed copy of their admit card. - Security Screening:
Separate security checks will be conducted for male and female candidates. Carrying mobile phones, calculators, wristwatches, or any other digital devices is strictly prohibited. If a candidate is found with such items or seen using them, their answer sheet will be cancelled. - Verification Process:
Invigilators will begin their duties from 8:00 AM. They will verify candidates’ identity by matching the photo watermark and colour photograph on the admit card with the individual before allowing entry into the examination hall. Officials will ensure the process is conducted meticulously. - Device Restrictions:
All examinees, invigilators, venue staff, and ministry or directorate personnel are prohibited from carrying mobile phones, electronic devices, Bluetooth devices, or earphones. Anyone involved in administering the test must strictly adhere to this rule. - Venue Restrictions:
Only individuals directly involved in the examination process will be allowed into the test centres. Photocopy shops near examination centres will remain closed on the test day. - Preventing Malpractice:
Measures have been implemented to detect and penalise any malpractice, fraud, or rumour-spreading during the examination. Legal action will be taken against violators, accompanied by wide publicity to deter others.
