Smart sports academy wins Dhaka karate competition with 35 medals

Members of the Smart Sports Academy of the capital’s Agargaon emerged champions by winning thirty-five medals in the Dhaka Divisional Open Karate Competition 2025, which was organised to mark International Mother Language Day.


Bangladesh Young King Karate Centre recently organised a karate competition at Narayanganj Ideal School.

Narayanganj Ideal School supported the competition and cooperated with the Bangladesh Sito-Ryu Karate Federation; SWKF Bangladesh provided technical assistance.
One hundred and fifty players from twelve teams of the Dhaka Division participated in this competition. The Smart Sports Academy karate team members became champions in this divisional competition by winning thirty-five medals, including nine gold, fifteen silver, and nine bronze medals.
Smart Sports Academy is a subsidiary of Sony-Smart, the official distributor of Sony in Bangladesh, Smart Technologies (BD) Limited.

Mr Nazmul Hasan, Master of Bangladesh Young King Karate Centre, presided over the closing ceremony of the karate competition, and Mr Maqsud Alam Khandaker, a state-titled Corona fighter, was present as the chief guest.
