The minister said this year’s SSC examinations were completed peacefully with the cooperation of all stakeholders and without any incidents of question paper leaks.

The government has decided to introduce a unified question paper system for Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations across all general education boards in Bangladesh, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon said today (18 June).

“The move aims to ensure uniform assessment standards nationwide by eliminating disparities in the quality and difficulty levels of question papers set by different education boards,” the minister told journalists at a press conference in Dhaka.

“Until now, some boards have conducted examinations with comparatively easier questions while others have used more difficult ones. It is not logical for SSC and HSC examinations in the same country to be held under different question papers,” he said.

Milon added that international examinations such as O-Level and A-Level are conducted under a common question paper system, and Bangladesh is moving towards a similar model to ensure fairness and consistency in student evaluation.

The minister also said this year’s SSC examinations were completed peacefully with the cooperation of all stakeholders and without any incidents of question paper leaks.

He announced that the results of the SSC and equivalent examinations will be published on 20 July.

To reduce academic session delays, the government has taken steps to hold public examinations soon after completion of the syllabus, Milon said. “As part of that initiative, examination schedules are now being announced a year in advance.”

According to the minister, the 2027 SSC examinations will begin on 7 January, while the HSC examinations will start on 6 June.
