North South University’s Marketing and International Business Club (NSU MIBC) showcased its organisational prowess by hosting the highly anticipated student-led marketing competition, Turkish Airlines Presents MarXcellence 2025, powered by AMA Coffee and driven by Garibook. The event drew hundreds of students, faculty members, and industry leaders, creating an electrifying atmosphere as participants celebrated the culmination of weeks of rigorous competition and strategic problem-solving.
The competition was fierce, with over 600 teams participating, including more than 70 international teams. Each round pushed participants to think critically, execute innovative marketing strategies, and present solutions to real-world business challenges. Highlights included workshops led by industry experts. Workshop 1 featured insights from Mehmet Can Şahin of Turkish Airlines and Nafees Salim from Impact Academy. At the same time, Workshop 2 continued with Mr Ehfaz Nowman from NSU’s School of Business and Economics and Shajidul Karim Dipu from Grey Advertising Bangladesh Ltd.
The grand finale showcased six standout teams that impressed judges and audiences alike with their creativity and analytical skills. In a thrilling showdown, Team ‘T’ from Bangladesh University of Professionals claimed the championship title, winning the grand prize of BDT 200,000. Team ‘Burger Bacchis’ from Dhaka University and ‘Team Sells Like Team Spirit’ from Dhaka University IBA secured the first and second runners-up positions, earning BDT 150,000 and BDT 100,000, respectively.
The event also recognised key figures who contributed to the success of MarXcellence 2025. Industry leaders such as Mr Ahsanur Rahman (Head of Media and Digital Marketing, bKash Limited), Mr Syed Gousul Alam (Managing Director, DotBirth), and Mr Zahiduzzaman (Head of Digital Platform Payment & Partnership, Grameenphone Ltd.) were honoured for their invaluable roles as judges. The esteemed faculty members of NSU’s Marketing and International Business Department were also acknowledged for their unwavering support.
As the curtains closed on MarXcellence 2025, it was clear that NSU MIBC had once again elevated the standard for student-led business competitions. The event highlighted the brightest young marketing minds and emphasised the importance of innovation and collaboration in shaping the industry’s future.
