Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Media and Communication Club will host the BUP MediaComm Summit 2025 on 30 June and 01 July at the BUP campus in Dhaka. The two-day national summit aims to bring together students, educators, media professionals, and digital content creators from across Bangladesh.

Presented by Walton, the summit will feature practical workshops, interactive panel discussions, competitions, and a concluding entertainment show. The theme for this year focuses on connecting media innovation with modern communication practices. The first day will centre on media-related activities, while the second day will highlight various aspects of communication.

The opening day will begin with two practical workshops. The first, on digital content creation, will be conducted by popular creators RK Shohan and Nasir Tamzid, covering storytelling, scripting, shooting, and editing for digital platforms. The second workshop will address fact-checking in the AI era, helping participants identify misinformation in today’s media landscape.

Following lunch, a special session titled StarTalk will take place, where prominent digital personalities will share their journeys, challenges, and insights on the impact of content in the digital age.

On the second day, the focus will shift to communication. A three-hour panel discussion will bring together experts from diverse fields. Filmmaker Redoan Rony will speak on media communication, development communication specialist Nishath Sultana Purabi will provide insights from the NGO sector, and a corporate representative will discuss strategies in corporate communication. This session aims to give students a comprehensive understanding of communication practices across sectors.

Running alongside the main events are two competitions: Visual Storytelling, where students create creative advertisements, and PitchCraft, an idea pitching contest focused on innovative communication solutions to social challenges.

The summit will conclude with a prize-giving ceremony honouring the winners of the competitions, followed by the official closing.

Shahriyar Emon Joy, President of BUP Media and Communication Club, said, “This summit will give students a chance to learn directly from successful professionals. It is a platform where academic knowledge meets practical experience.”

Shihabun Shakib, General Secretary of the club, added, “We are proud to host this summit. It is the result of months of teamwork and planning. We hope to inspire students and create a space where communication and creativity come together.”

The BUP MediaComm Summit 2025 is expected to offer a valuable learning opportunity for young minds passionate about media, storytelling, and communication.
