BUET Sahitya Sangsad held its flagship literary event, ‘Sahasra Prahar Pore’, at the university’s auditorium on Wednesday, bringing together students, literature enthusiasts and aspiring writers for an evening of literary discourse and celebration.

The event featured acclaimed writer Abdullah Ibn Mahmud as the keynote speaker. In his address, he shared insights on the art of writing, the role of research in shaping meaningful stories, and the inner workings of the publication industry from an author’s perspective. Drawing on personal experiences, Mr Mahmud offered practical advice that resonated with young writers in attendance.

A lively question-and-answer session followed, where students engaged directly with the author, raising questions on writing techniques, character development and the evolving literary landscape.
