Education Adviser CR Abrar has given explanation why they have  taken decision to postpone the  Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination  in late  night.

The education adviser disclosed this while talking to the Journalists at secretariat today.

He said that they had been corresponding with Singapore till late night for providing improved treatment to the injured of the deadly   jet crash at Milestone School and College on 21 July.

“We (members of the advisory council) returned home in late night after discussing about treatment then  examination issue came to light and accordingly we discussed it with some other advisers as none has right to take decision on the examination alone” the adviser clarified.

“Though we took time to postpone the examination but we have taken the decision in due time. The examination has been postponed following due procedure”, he added.

Replying to query of a Journalist, the education adviser said although the students have demanded my resignation but it is under Chief Adviser’s jurisdiction. There was no mismanagement after the aircraft accident and that’s why the education adviser will not resign deliberately from his post.

He said he did not know about it why the education secretary has been removed. He, however, said the demands, raised by the students of the Milestone School and College were  rational.

The government has postponed the HSC and its equivalent examinations of 22 and 24 July respectively following jet crash at Milestone School and College at Uttara in the capital.

Information and Broadcasting Adviser Mahfuz Alam and youth and sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuyain have disclosed the postponement of the examinations in Face Book posts in the early hours of Tuesday.
