The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has officially launched the ULAB Nutrition Olympiad 2025 through a press conference organised by the ULAB Nutrition and Wellness Club. The event brought together guests, faculty, students, members of the press, and partner organisations, marking a significant step forward in youth-led innovation and public health advocacy in Bangladesh.

More than 170 ULAB students from diverse academic backgrounds have registered to take part in the Olympiad, which aims to promote nutritional awareness and inspire health-focused change. Centred on the theme “Your Idea Can Be the Next Health Revolution,” the initiative encourages participants to combine scientific knowledge with creativity and community engagement to address modern health and nutrition challenges.

The Olympiad is designed to assess academic depth, research skills, and innovative thinking. It begins with a quiz round on 31 July, followed by abstract submission on 7 August, project development and presentations on 14 August, and concludes with the grand finale on 23 August. The multi-phase structure seeks to foster leadership and real-world application in the field of nutrition science.

The event is supported by several institutional and industry partners. TBS Graduates has joined as the Youth Engagement Partner, while Signature Cake is the Dessert Partner and DERA Resort & Spa is the Hospitality Partner. Other contributors include The Kitchen, WIT Institute, ULAB TV, and a number of digital and campus media outlets. These collaborations reflect a shared commitment to public health and youth empowerment.

The ULAB Nutrition Olympiad also aligns with global development priorities, particularly Sustainable Development Goals 2 (Zero Hunger) and 3 (Good Health and Well-being). It aims to nurture critical thinking and leadership among students while encouraging community-driven, sustainable solutions in nutrition.
