YEH-JU concludes 3-day leadership training

Youth Ending Hunger (YEH), Jahangirnagar University, has concluded a three-day Youth Leadership Training (YLT), held from 31 July to 2 August 2025, at the Department of International Relations, New Arts Faculty. The training, marking Batch 1270, brought together 30 students from diverse academic backgrounds with a shared commitment to leadership, civic responsibility, and social development.

The programme focused on building leadership capacity among youth through interactive sessions centred on accountability, empathy, constructive dialogue, and community engagement. Participants also developed and presented Social Action Projects (SAPs) on the final day, reflecting their understanding and readiness to implement change initiatives in their respective communities.

Professor Tamalika Sultana, faculty advisor of YEH-JU, attended the closing session and certificate handover ceremony. She commended the participants’ enthusiasm and underscored the importance of youth-led efforts in fostering inclusive development.

Md Nahid Hasan Emon, Coordinator of YEH Jahangirnagar University, stated that the training aimed to help participants identify and cultivate their innate leadership qualities. He noted that the sessions were designed to spark meaningful discussions on governance, social justice, and responsible citizenship.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the experience, highlighting the value of both the structured training and the spirit of unity the programme fostered. Several attendees reflected on how the initiative had provided them with direction and a renewed commitment to contribute to a more democratic and humane society.
