Team BRACU Duburi, Bangladesh’s pioneering autonomous underwater vehicle initiative, achieved global recognition at RoboSub 2025, one of the world’s most prestigious underwater robotics competitions. The team secured 8th place overall among 58 international contenders and received the Best Entrepreneurship Award.

This year’s participation was supported by Dubotech, the team’s title sponsor, founded by BRACU Duburi alumni. Dubotech emerged following the team’s impressive performance at RoboSub 2023, where BRACU Duburi ranked 2nd globally.

The team’s journey reflects a steady trajectory of growth over the past three years. In 2022, they debuted on the global stage, earning the title of Best Rookie Team. The following year, BRACU Duburi secured 2nd place worldwide, placing Bangladesh firmly on the robotics map. In 2025, the team earned the Best Entrepreneurship Award while ranking among the world’s top 10, with Dubotech showcasing alumni-led innovation.

At RoboSub 2025, the team achieved 8th place overall out of 58 participants. Their team website was ranked 3rd, the team introduction video placed 5th, and the system assessment came in 6th. The Best Entrepreneurship Award recognized their role in advancing robotics innovation in Bangladesh.
