Foodi presented the EWU Lit-Carnival 2025, a day-long celebration of literature, art, and cultural expression, held on 16 October 2025 from 8:00am to 6:00pm at the East West University (EWU) campus.

Organised by East West University, the event was sponsored by Foodi and supported by Wings Learning Centre and Mutual Trust Bank (MTB). This year’s carnival brought together students, faculty members, and creative enthusiasts from more than twenty universities and educational institutions across the country, reflecting a strong spirit of inter-university collaboration and community engagement.

Among the participating institutions were BRAC University, Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Stamford University, Independent University Bangladesh (IUB), University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), Presidency University, State University of Bangladesh, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), North South University (NSU), Daffodil International University (DIU), and United International University (UIU), along with others such as BIBM and BIAM. Their participation transformed the EWU campus into a vibrant cultural hub for the day.

Throughout the event, the university grounds were filled with enthusiasm as more than eighteen temporary stalls were set up by students and young entrepreneurs. These stalls featured a variety of food and pastry items, handmade crafts, candles, and other creative goods. The stalls attracted large crowds of students, visitors, and faculty members who enjoyed exploring the diverse range of products while engaging in conversations about literature and art.
The highlight of the day was a cosplay drama staged in the EWU auditorium, where performers dressed as popular literary and fictional characters to enact stories aligned with the carnival’s central theme. The performance captivated the audience with its blend of storytelling, creativity, and humour, adding a unique theatrical touch to the celebration.

In addition to the performances and stalls, the Lit-Carnival served as a platform for students to express their artistic and literary interests beyond the classroom. Participants exchanged ideas on literature, poetry, and creative writing while discovering shared interests that extended across disciplines and institutions.
The organisers expressed their satisfaction with the turnout and engagement. They highlighted that the purpose of the event was to encourage students to think creatively, collaborate across academic boundaries, and celebrate the literary and artistic diversity that thrives within Bangladesh’s universities.
Visitors appreciated the lively environment and the opportunity to connect with peers from other institutions. The inclusion of both academic and cultural elements made the event a balanced mix of learning and entertainment.
