A delegation from Pakistan, led by Deputy High Commissioner Mohammad Wasif, has visited Southern University Bangladesh at the university’s invitation.

Representatives from fourteen Pakistani universities took part in a dialogue session held at the campus gallery on Tuesday, 25 November.

During the session, the delegates presented detailed information on opportunities for Bangladeshi students to pursue higher education in Pakistan, including scholarships, application procedures, faculty and student exchange, and prospects for joint research.

Southern University’s acting vice-chancellor, Dr Sharif Ashrafulzzaman, founding professor Sarwar Jahan and faculty members from various departments attended the event.

The visiting delegation included Senior Project Managers Mohammad Waqar Khan and Tanzila Naqbi of the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad; Tayyaba Amir, director (admission), and Dr Sanam Samaro, director of QEC, Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi; Dr Binafsha Manzoor and Dr Syed Fasiha Shah of Liaquat University of Medical Sciences; Dr Amir Iqbal, dean of NED University; Dr Amirzeb Khan and Dr Rizwan Ahmed of Pak–Austria Fachhochschule Haripur; Dr Saifullah Khan, director (admission) of the University of Peshawar; Sarup Anwar of the University of Lahore; Dr Nadeem Talib, director (academic) of NUML Islamabad; Zafar Abbas Naqbi and Mohammad Naeem of the National University of Sciences and Technology; Dr Hammad Omar of COMSATS University; Saniya Mansoor of LUMS; Dr Azra Yasmin of Fatima Jinnah Women University; and Omar Imam of Beaconhouse National University.
