The Bangla Academy authorities have announced that the Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2026 will begin on 20 February and continue till 15 March.

The inaugural ceremony of the country’s largest annual literary event will take place at 11am.

The fair schedule was finalised at an emergency meeting held this afternoon (17 December) at the Shaheed Munir Chowdhury Conference Room of Bangla Academy, said a press release.

Bangla Academy Director General Professor Mohammad Azam, Cultural Affairs Ministry Secretary Md Mofidur Rahman, academy directors, Dhaka University Proctor Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, representatives of publishers and members of law enforcement agencies were present at the meeting.
