Quinton de Kock produced a breathtaking masterclass in Centurion, smashing a record-breaking century to power South Africa to another commanding win over the West Indies in the second T20 International.
Chasing a massive target of 222, De Kock made the impossible look effortless, bringing up his hundred in just 43 balls. The left-hander eventually finished with a sensational 115 off 49 deliveries, dismantling the West Indies bowling attack with a flurry of boundaries and towering sixes.
His explosive knock helped South Africa complete the chase in only 17.3 overs, securing a thrilling victory and sealing a 2–0 lead in the three-match series.
Beyond the win, the innings carried historic significance. De Kock overtook Faf du Plessis to become South Africa’s highest run-scorer in T20 internationals, while also joining an elite list of players with multiple T20I centuries. He also became one of the few batters to score two international T20 hundreds at the same venue.
With the T20 World Cup drawing closer, De Kock’s extraordinary form is a major boost for the Proteas — and a clear warning to the rest of the cricketing world.
