Royal Rumble 2026 crowned two major winners on the road to WrestleMania, with Roman Reigns standing tall once again as he conquered the Men’s Royal Rumble for the second time in his career, while Liv Morgan emerged victorious in the Women’s match to secure her own championship opportunity.
Royal Rumble 2026 kicked off WWE’s WrestleMania season in electrifying fashion as the global spectacle arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Held at Riyadh Season Stadium, the event brought together the biggest names in sports entertainment for a night filled with high-stakes battles, surprise appearances, and dramatic twists.
The PLE began with the women’s division Royal Rumble match, won by none other than Liv Morgan. She managed to outlast the other opponents. The final three were Morgan, Tiffany Straton and Sol Ruca, but Morgan managed to outshine them and win her ticket to WrestleMania. The next match saw AJ Styles lose to Gunther in a must-win match, and he was forced to retire from in-ring competition. Styles gave it his all, but it was not enough, as after John Cena, Gunther added Styles to the list of people he has managed to retire. The third match of the night saw Drew McIntyre coming out on top against Sami Zayn and defending his Undisputed WWE Title.
The men’s Royal Rumble then got off to an unexpected start as a masked man appeared to attack Bron Breakker and get him eliminated right at the very start. Roman Reigns eventually won the match after eliminating Gunther. Reings won the Rumble match for the second time in his career.
Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Brock Lesnar, Rey Mysterio, Penta, Bronson Reed, and Randy Orton were all seen in the men’s rumble, while the likes of Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch competed in the women’s rumble. The first big WWE event was streamed live on the Netflix app and website, starting at 12:30 AM IST.
