The U.S. Embassy in Dhaka has reminded visitors that enrolling in any degree-granting or credit-earning program while in the United States on a visitor visa is strictly prohibited.
In a message released on Sunday (15 February), the embassy stated that individuals on a B1/B2 visitor visa must not participate in any course of study that leads to a degree or institutional credit. Misusing a U.S. visa, even briefly, can result in permanent ineligibility for future entry into the United States.
The embassy emphasized that visitors must adhere strictly to the terms of their visa. Any violation, even for a short period, could have serious long-term consequences, including being barred from future travel to the United States.
