Hult Prize at University of Chittagong takes “10 Taka Bazar” initiative for Tea Garden Families. For commitment to social impact and community development, Hult Prize at University of Chittagong organized a humanitarian initiative titled “10 Taka Bazar” on 20 February, 2026. The initiative aims to support underprivileged tea garden workers and their families by providing essential food items at a symbolic cost of only 10 Taka, ensuring dignity and accessibility for the beneficiaries.

The program “10 Taka Bazar” distribution initiative happened at East Koia Pukiya Abdul Hamid Government Primary School, Bhujpur, Fatikchhari, Chattogram.The beneficiaries of this initiative are tea workers from Dolu Tea Garden. A total of 107 families has received essential food items through this program.The required funds for the initiative have been collected through crowdfunding from mosques, booth, class promotions and many social events reflecting collective support and community engagement.

This successful event was organized by the Hult Prize at University of Chittagong 2025/26 Organizing Committee, led by Campus Director Khaled Mahmud Onik, Chief of Staff Kazi Muhaiminul Islam Munaj and Chief Strategist Karin Saffana. Through their effective coordination and tireless efforts the program was conducted successfully.

The program further Lead by Event & IT head – Abdul Rahim Ahad and Mahmud  Hasan Roman and their team. Also sincere appreciation to Asma Binte Rashid and Suman Uddin for their overall support and cooperation in making this initiative possible.

Through this initiative, Hult Prize at University of Chittagong continues to foster youth driven social entrepreneurship and meaningful community engagement. The “10 Taka Bazar” reflects the organization’s dedication to creating sustainable social impact and empowering marginalized communities.
