The organisers have ensured that every publisher follows this rule, aiming to boost book sales and attract more visitors.

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will inaugurate the fair at 2pm at the Bangla Academy premises, where he will also hand over the Bangla Academy Awards.

The fair features 549 stalls, with 81 inside Bangla Academy and 468 across Suhrawardy Udyan, including special zones like the Little Mag Corner and Children’s Corner. Most stalls are expected to be ready by 26 February.

According to somoynews.tv, The fair is open from 2pm to 9pm on weekdays (entry closes at 8:30pm) and 11am to 9pm on holidays. Children’s Hours are observed every Friday and Saturday from 11am to 1pm, and daily cultural programmes run from 4pm to 5pm.

The venue maintains plastic-free and smoking-free policies. Security has been strengthened with four entry points, watchtowers, and enhanced lighting, along with special arrangements for Tarawih prayers during Ramadan.
