The Department of Botany at the University of Dhaka has issued a revised admission notice and a subsequent deadline extension for vacant seats in the MS programme for the 2024-2025 academic session.

Important Dates (Extended)

• Online Application Deadline: Extended to 30 March 2026 (Monday) until 11:59 PM.
• Admit Card Download: 05 April 2026 to 09 April 2026 (until 09:00 AM).
• Admission Test Date: 09 April 2026 (Thursday).
• Admission Test Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
• Examination Venue: Department of Botany, University of Dhaka.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must have a 4-year B.Sc. (Honours) degree in Botany from a public university or any university approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh.
• Minimum GPA Requirements:
  • SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent: Minimum GPA of 3.5 in each, with a combined total of at least 8.00.
  • B.Sc. (Honours): Minimum CGPA of 3.25.
• Appeared Candidates: Students in their 4th year of Honours may apply with an “Appeared Certificate,” provided they meet all eligibility criteria at the time of admission.

Admission Test Structure

• The examination will include both written and oral (viva voce) components.
• Total marks: 100.
• The syllabus will be based on the B.Sc. (Honours) curriculum of the Department of Botany, University of Dhaka.
