The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering (BSCSE) programme at United International University has been awarded Washington Accord accreditation through the Institution of Engineers Bangladesh Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) for a six-year term, effective from 3 December 2023 to 2 December 2029.

The accreditation places UIU’s BSCSE programme alongside internationally recognised engineering programmes, indicating that its graduates meet global standards comparable to those in countries such as the USA, UK, Canada and Australia. It is expected to enhance graduates’ global mobility, career prospects and opportunities for higher education.

By meeting Washington Accord standards, the university ensures its curriculum, faculty and facilities provide a high-quality learning environment aligned with global technological demands.

The achievement reflects the collective efforts of the UIU community and reinforces the university’s position in engineering education. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on quality education.
