The event was attended by advisers, including Sajjadur Rahim and Md Atiqul Islam, along with organisers and alumni representatives.

According to organisers, the four-day conference will take place from 16 to 19 April, with proceedings beginning at the university’s Senate Building.

This year’s theme is “Ensuring Economic Accountability through Fair Market Policies and Multilateral Resource Allocation Frameworks in the Context of Global Multipolarity”.

Eight committees will be simulated, including the United Nations Security Council, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, UN General Assembly Fifth Committee, United Nations Human Rights Council, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, International Press, and the Specialized Committee for Bangladesh Affairs.

More than 300 students from over 40 institutions across the country are expected to participate, engaging in debates and policy simulations on global issues.

The closing ceremony will be held on 19 April at the Senate Building, with Md Faridul Islam expected to attend as chief guest. Special guests are expected to include Md Farid Uddin Khan and Mohammad Main Uddin.

Established in 2013, the association has organised multiple national-level Model United Nations conferences, aiming to promote leadership, diplomacy and critical thinking among students.
