SEU hosts “Faculty Research Day 2026” to recognise academic excellence
The Institute of Research and Training (IRT) at Southeast University (SEU) organised Faculty Research Day 2026 on 23 April 2026 at the university’s Multipurpose Hall, recognising faculty research contributions from 2025 and promoting a stronger research culture.
The event highlighted high-quality academic publications and aimed to encourage sustained scholarly engagement among faculty members.
The programme was attended by Wahiduddin Mahmud, former Adviser to the Ministry of Planning and Education, as chief guest. Distinguished speakers included Tahmeed Ahmed, Executive Director of icddr,b, and A K Enamul Haque, Director General of Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS).
The speakers commended SEU faculty members for their research productivity and appreciated the university’s continued commitment to advancing scholarly activities.
The session was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, while Pro-Vice Chancellor Md Mofazzal Hossain delivered the opening remarks. Concluding remarks were presented by Hasnat M Alamgir, Director of the Institute of Research and Training.
The initiative reflects SEU’s commitment to strengthening institutional quality, supporting faculty research, and fostering a culture of academic excellence aligned with international standards.
