Remians Cultural Club continues its commitment to cultural excellence and youth development
Remians Cultural Club continues to strengthen its position as a leading platform for cultural engagement and artistic development through a series of impactful initiatives and nationwide activities. With a clear vision to nurture creativity and preserve Bangladesh’s rich heritage, the club has consistently organised and participated in a wide range of cultural programmes, competitions, workshops, and collaborative events.
The club has organised numerous national, inter-college, and intra-college workshops aimed at enhancing students’ talents in various cultural fields. Through these continuous efforts, Remians Cultural Club has played a key role in promoting and preserving the essence of Bengali culture among the younger generation.
Over 500 intra-college workshops have already been conducted for students of Dhaka Residential Model College. These sessions have provided training in poetry recitation, creative writing, music, dance, public speaking, and other artistic disciplines. As a result, students have not only developed their skills but also gained confidence, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for their cultural heritage.
A major milestone for the club was the successful organisation of the 2nd National Cultural Festival 2026, titled “Anondodhara.” This large-scale festival brought together participants from across the country and featured more than twenty-six segments, including music, dance, recitation, art, and literary competitions. The event was widely praised for its organisation, inclusivity, and vibrant celebration of culture. Distinguished guests, including Bobby Hajjaj, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education, attended the event as chief guest.
The club has also introduced progressive initiatives to ensure inclusivity and fairness in cultural activities, such as the incorporation of Equity Officers during major events. This step reflects the organisation’s commitment to transparency, discipline, and equal opportunity for all participants.
The achievements of Remians Cultural Club are strongly supported by its leadership. The Chief Patron, Brigadier General Dr Mohammed Zaber Hossain, provides strategic guidance and inspiration. The Chief Coordinator, Md Jahedul Hoque, plays a vital role in managing and supporting the club’s activities. The Moderator, Md Tariqul Islam, ensures effective supervision and direction of the club’s initiatives.
The club’s President, Nahiyan Zaman Sammo, is widely recognised for his contributions to cultural development. He was honoured with the title of Best Student of Dhaka Metropolitan City in the National Education Week 2026 by the Ministry of Education. Under his leadership, the club has continued to grow and successfully organise large-scale cultural events, including national festivals and concerts featuring bands such as Level Five, Encore, Xenon, and solo artist Rayhan Islam Shuvro.
Looking ahead, Remians Cultural Club aims to further expand its activities through national and international collaborations, promote Bengali culture on a broader platform, and continue building a sustainable environment for artistic excellence.
