Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), located at Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka, is the only public university in Bangladesh administered by the Armed Forces.

The Faculty of Medical Studies (FMS) is currently accepting applications for the Master of Public Health (MPH) programme for the July-2026 intake.

Programme Overview and Specialisations

Major Areas: Epidemiology and Hospital Management.

Duration: 2 years comprising 4 semesters.

Academic Load: 70 total credits.

Class Format: Weekend and 25% online classes.Capacity: 50 seats available.

Eligibility Requirements

Academic Background: Candidates must have passed from the science group in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations.

Minimum Grades: A GPA/CGPA below 2.50 or a third division in any public examination renders an applicant ineligible.

Required Degrees: Applicants must hold an MBBS, BDS, MD, or an equivalent professional degree in Medical Sciences (such as Homeopathy, Unani & Ayurvedic, Physiotherapy, or BSc in Nursing).

Alternative Qualifications: A four-year undergraduate degree in Life Sciences, Social Sciences, Anthropology, or Psychology from a UGC recognised university is also accepted.

Assessment and Fees

Written Test (65%): Covers English Language, Mathematics, General Knowledge, and General Science, with 20 marks allotted to each subject.

Viva-Voce: Accounts for 10% of the total score.

Previous Results: Academic history (SSC, HSC, and Bachelor) accounts for 25%.Application Fee: Tk. 1100/- (including service charge) to be paid online through preferred banking methods.

Course Fee: Total fee of TK. 2,00,000/- to be paid on a semester-wise basis.
