The ULAB Adventure Club of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) successfully organised “Wild Flow 2026: Conquering Amiakhum & Nafakhum”, a five-day adventure expedition held from 5 to 10 May 2026 in the remote hill tracts of Bandarban.

The expedition brought together students and adventure enthusiasts for an immersive journey through some of Bangladesh’s most scenic natural landscapes.

The route covered Bandarban, Thanchi, Poddo Mukh, Amiakhum, Nafakhum, Remakri, and Lilukh Waterfall, offering participants the opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the Chattogram Hill Tracts.

Throughout the journey, participants trekked through dense forests, crossed streams and rugged hill trails, and travelled along the Sangu River to reach the waterfalls of Amiakhum and Nafakhum, widely regarded as two of Bangladesh’s most remarkable natural attractions.

Beginning from Thanchi, the team navigated challenging terrain including Baghermukh, Debota Pahar, muddy forest paths, river crossings, and steep hill routes. Organisers said the expedition encouraged resilience, teamwork, and environmental awareness among participants despite the physical challenges.

The journey also provided opportunities for cultural engagement as participants interacted with indigenous communities, experienced local hospitality, and learned about the traditions and lifestyles of the region.

Beyond adventure activities, the expedition focused on personal growth, leadership development, and community bonding. Participants shared experiences such as trekking through remote landscapes, staying in indigenous homes, and exploring the hills and rivers of Bandarban together.

The ULAB Adventure Club expressed gratitude to the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh for its continued institutional support in promoting experiential learning beyond the classroom.

Special appreciation was also extended to Vice-Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza for his encouragement and support in making the expedition possible.

Organisers said “Wild Flow 2026” reflects ULAB’s broader commitment to holistic education by encouraging students to explore nature responsibly, build character through adventure, and develop a deeper connection with Bangladesh’s natural and cultural heritage.
