JUKTI, the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Club of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), organised an industry visit to Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited in Kaliakoir, Gazipur, to give students practical exposure to technology-driven industrial operations.

The visit, titled “Beyond the Classroom: JUKTI’s Industry Visit 2026 to Walton”, took place on 16 July and brought together 56 CSE students and two faculty members from IUB.

The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices by helping students understand how classroom concepts are applied in real-world technology and manufacturing environments.

During the visit, the students toured Walton’s Display Centre before observing different stages of its manufacturing operations. They gained first-hand experience of modern production processes, quality control systems and the technologies used in large-scale manufacturing.

The participants also visited Walton’s Data Centre and IT Department, where they learned about the digital infrastructure supporting industrial operations.

Another highlight of the visit was the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Manufacturing Line, where students observed the automated production processes involved in manufacturing one of the most important components of modern electronic devices.

The visit gave students valuable insights into industrial workflows, technological innovation and career opportunities in Bangladesh’s growing technology sector. It also provided an opportunity to interact with industry professionals and better understand the practical applications of computer science and engineering beyond the classroom.

JUKTI said the initiative reflected its commitment to its motto, “Skill, Networking, and Knowledge”, by creating opportunities for students to develop professional skills and industry awareness through hands-on learning experiences.
