Team BengalSub has earned international recognition at RoboSub 2026 in Irvine, California, delivering an impressive performance at one of the world’s leading competitions for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs).

Organised by RoboNation, RoboSub brings together university teams from around the world to design, build and operate fully autonomous underwater vehicles capable of completing complex subsea robotics missions.

Competing against 58 international teams, Team BengalSub, backed by Tech Autocrats, secured second place in the Website Design category. The team also finished 12th in Team Video, 18th in Overall Design Documentation, the highest ranking among Bangladeshi teams, 21st in the Technical Design Report (TDR), and 28th in the Presentation category.

The team’s performance highlights Bangladesh’s growing capabilities in subsea technology, marine robotics and engineering innovation.

The achievements across technical design, documentation and presentation mark an important milestone for Bangladesh’s participation in international robotics competitions and demonstrate the country’s emerging talent in autonomous underwater systems.
