Bizzmakr organised a two-day campus programme at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) to help students turn their existing skills into freelancing, entrepreneurship and career opportunities.

Held on 26–27 July in collaboration with the IUB Programming Club (IUBPC), the programme provided students with practical insights into market-relevant skills, digital careers and smart hiring, according to a press release.

Bizzmakr is a business solutions platform that operates on a model in which all contributors work as freelancers. Through its Campus Activation Program, the platform seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and employability.

An activation booth was open from 10 am to 4 pm on both days, welcoming students, aspiring freelancers and young entrepreneurs.

Visitors explored the Bizzmakr platform, met its team and learned how they could monetise their existing skills through real-world projects. The programme also connected students, freelancers, aspiring entrepreneurs and businesses.

On 27 July, Bizzmakr hosted a session titled “Skills to Success” from 11 am to 1 pm at the DMK Lecture Gallery.

A S M Rafiul Haque, Founder and CEO of Bizzmakr, presented the vision behind the platform and the wider initiative it represents.

Dilara Jahan Brishty, Co-Founder and CMO of Bizzmakr, discussed how digital skills, consistency and continuous learning could help young people build sustainable careers.

Ibrahim Niloy, Certified Full Stack Digital Marketer, AI SEO Specialist, and Top Rated Upwork Freelancer, shared practical insights from his experience of competing and succeeding on global platforms.

Saif Shaon, Video Editor and Creative Consultant specialising in cinematic storytelling and commercial content, discussed how freelancers could establish a distinctive position in the creative economy.

“Young people spend years learning, but many struggle to find opportunities to apply what they know,” A S M Rafiul Haque said.

“Our Campus Activation Programs are not about telling students to pick up freelancing as a side hustle; they are about showing Bangladesh’s brightest young minds that their skills have real market value and that building a sustainable, full-fledged career in the digital economy is entirely within their reach.

“Through these programmes, we want to inspire young people to move beyond academic learning and develop practical capabilities that can create real economic opportunities.”

The IUB event was the latest in Bizzmakr’s series of youth engagement initiatives.

Earlier, the platform had organised campus activation programmes at the National Youth Festival at BRAC University, Flow Fest at Gulshan Club and JUST CAP at Jashore University of Science and Technology.

Bizzmakr said it aimed to prepare young people for Bangladesh’s expanding digital economy by promoting practical skills, career readiness and continuous learning.
