Bangladesh’s PUBG MOBILE streaming community has raised funds to provide medical assistance to more than 500 flood-affected people in Bandarban through a humanitarian campaign titled “Revive Squad”.

The campaign was conducted in collaboration with social welfare organisation Footsteps Bangladesh, according to a press release.

The initiative was launched after heavy rainfall and flash floods inundated parts of the Chattogram region, leaving hundreds of families in need of food, safe drinking water and emergency healthcare.

PUBG MOBILE streamers and gaming content creators Sinister, Rowdy, DeathStorm, TimeBurner Gaming, Tuktuki, Nayeem, Rafsan The Chotobhai and Apollo Gaming hosted a special fundraising livestream as part of the campaign.

They urged viewers and followers to support flood-affected families, with all proceeds from the livestream donated to the relief fund.

Using the money raised, Footsteps Bangladesh organised two medical camps in Balaghata and Rowangchhari, Bandarban, on 24 and 25 July.

More than 500 people received free medical consultations, essential medicines, oral rehydration saline and first-aid kits at the camps.

Footsteps Bangladesh representatives said disrupted transport links had made delivering healthcare to remote, flood-affected communities particularly difficult, leaving many residents without access to basic medical services.

Volunteers and medical professionals worked together to deliver healthcare services to the affected communities, the release said.

Organisers said the campaign demonstrated how online streaming communities could mobilise quickly to support humanitarian efforts. They expressed hope that it would encourage more young people, streamers and online communities to participate in social and humanitarian initiatives.
