East Delta University, Vulcan Aspire sign MoU on student career support
East Delta University (EDU) and Vulcan Aspire Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide students and alumni with free basic corporate soft-skills training, career counselling, and job-placement support.
Under the agreement, Vulcan Aspire will serve as the university’s Career Excellence Partner.
Under the agreement signed at the EDU campus in Chattogram on 2 September, Vulcan Aspire will serve as the university’s Career Excellence Partner, according to a press release inviting students and alumni to the free training, career counselling and job-placement support.
Vulcan Aspire Chairman SM Safat Ishtiaq and EDU Director of External Engagement and Director of CPDC Dr Rawnak Afrose signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
EDU Vice-Chancellor Dr Md Nazim Uddin attended the signing ceremony.
Speaking at the programme, Dr Md Nazim Uddin said, “I am delighted to have this collaboration with Vulcan Aspire. We share a common goal and hope the organisation will support EDU students to the best of its ability.”
Dr Rawnak Afrose said the university remained committed to creating development opportunities for its students.
“We strongly believe that this partnership will lead to something meaningful for our students,” she said.
SM Safat Ishtiaq thanked the EDU authorities for their welcome and said the partnership would help strengthen students’ development.
“I can assure you that Vulcan Aspire will give its very best,” he added.
