Team S.A.A.F emerged as the champion of the fifth edition of Savoy Presents Idea Hunters, organised by the ULAB Digital Marketing Club.

The grand finale of the competition was held on 18 September at the permanent campus of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), bringing together university students, industry professionals and academics to celebrate creativity, innovation and strategic thinking.

The competition challenged university students to develop innovative ideas and demonstrate their problem-solving abilities in marketing and business strategy.

The grand finale was presented by Savoy, co-sponsored by Bangladesh-StudyIn and powered by Speed. The event was held in association with Pathao, with Nature Beauty serving as the wellness partner.

Kazi Saiful Hoque, Chairman of Grace Hospitality & Event Management Group and Co-Founder of HCAP Bangladesh, attended the event as the chief guest. ULAB Vice Chancellor Professor Shamsad Mortuza joined as the special guest.

The programme also featured Dr Mohammad Tawhid Reaz, Advisor of the ULAB Digital Marketing Club and Director of the MBA and EMBA Programme at ULAB, alongside industry professionals, faculty members, participants and members of the organising committee.

The finalist teams presented their ideas before a panel of judges comprising Abdullah Hasan, Founder and CEO of Media Mix Communications; Mahir Bin Mehedi, Manager of Circle Marketing at Robi Axiata PLC; and Obaidul H Shuvon, Chief Commercial Officer of Medora Health Ltd.

The teams were evaluated on the strength of their ideas, strategic approach, creativity, feasibility, presentation and overall execution.

The winners of Idea Hunters 5.0 are:

  • Champion: Team S.A.A.F, comprising Md Nafiul Faiaz Hossain, Alif Abira Nowme and Mohammad Atik Aziz. The team received Tk80,000.
  • 1st runner-up: Team Bizlytics, comprising Syed Iltimas Alam, Khandaker Kaif Kabir, Nazifa Rahman Khan and Mahir Labib. The team received Tk50,000.
  • 2nd runner-up: Team Chokers, comprising Sayeed Azam, Tarannum Ahmed Chowdhury, Rayek Ashraf, Shadeed Hossain and Md Salman Farsi. The team received Tk30,000.

The competition concluded another edition of the ULAB Digital Marketing Club’s initiative to provide university students with a platform to transform ideas into practical solutions while engaging with industry professionals.

Through the competition, the club aims to encourage creativity, collaboration, strategic thinking and innovation among young professionals.

The grand finale brought together academia, industry and university students to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ideas developed throughout the competition.
